Our Secure Systems Provider
We use Protx Secure Ordering Systems to process credit card payments from customers. We do not store any credit card information on our systems or at our premises.

Protx are one of the UKs leading Secure Payment Service providers and have been accredited by the UKs leading high street banks including HSBC and Natwest. Established in 1995, Protx remain leaders in the provision of safe, secure online transactions.

How secure is Protx?
Protx uses state of the art security tools and techniques, both proprietary and unique, to ensure that you are protected against what is nowadays a virtually non-existent risk. Protx systems have evolved over many years and throughout their history have continuously sought and gained bank approval for their systems.

If I key my debit card details at home or in the office, surely they are not encrypted until after they arrive at the Protx system?

Using industry standard SSL, VeriSign and Protx unique encryption systems, this is not actually the case. When you fill in the payment form then click the submit button, your details are not sent straight away. What actually happens is that a secure link is set up between your browser and Protx and an encryption code is requested and received, which then wraps the order and transaction details before leaving they your premises.

What level of encryption is on the Protx server?
Protx use Thawte 2048 bit encryption systems. At the browser 128 Bit SSL is used to allow for the encryption of potentially sensitive information such as your name, address and other critically sensitive information like your credit card details. Information passed between your computer and our Web site cannot be read in the event it is intercepted by someone else.

Literally millions of pounds in credit card transactions are processed on the Internet each day. Because of sophisticated encryption and security measures built into secure sites on the Internet, the chances that your credit card information will be used fraudulently are less than winning the lottery (which is pretty unlikely anyway!).

The padlock or key symbol in the status bar of your browser indicates that you are in a secure area and all information provided in this area is encrypted and protected.
